The TMEA Region XIII Association of Texas Small School Band (ATSSB) All-Region Jazz Band tryouts were held on Saturday, September 23rd, at West Columbia, with nearly 60 students from around the Region auditioning for one of 17 spots in the All-Region Jazz Bands.
Congratulations to Mason Meija on trombone, Cassandra Toledo on trumpet and Jaime Leija on trombone for making this year’s band. Also congratulations to Jaime Leija for advancing on to the Area round and recording for state.
These three students will attend a clinic with world class educators beginning January 26th, culminating with a concert at Needville HS on January 27th.
