Brazosport took 10 students to the SkillsUSA District competition. These offsite contests took place in Pasadena, Rosenberg, and Stafford from February 2 - February 16. Students participate in categories like welding applications, welding job exhibits, job interview competitions, job demonstration competitions, electrical constructions wiring, carpentry and masonry. The Brazosport student’s district included many schools from over 14 counties in our area.
Of the 10 students, three qualified for state. Those students are Rigoberto Alanis Jr., Victor Martinez, and Jacob Schuck. The SkillsUSA state skill and leadership conference and competition will be April 4-6th in Corpus Christi Texas.
