Today is the day!!! For softball Tryouts. Come Join us on the softball field. Tryout begin at 3:45 - 5:45 Be a big hit at softball tryouts!!!

You are invited to attend a celebration hosted by Communities in Schools. Come out and enjoy fun activities, free giveaways from at least 40 different vendors, free food, a fireworks display, and a chance to win prizes. The celebration will be held here at Brazosport High School in the pep rally gym at 5:30. All ages are welcome to attend!

Attention Seniors!!!! New date to order cap and gowns and other Senior Merchandise is WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST, IN THE CAFETERIA DURING LUNCHES ONLY!!!!! Cash, checks and debit/credit cards will be accepted. Order on time so that you are not charged a late charge. If your order exceeds $80.00, you will need to make an $80.00 deposit on that day. Orders must be paid in full before you are given your cap and gown. Thank you.

We will be having 2 back to back FCCLA meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 25th and Thursday, Jan. 26th. in Ms. Jansky's room 623. It is extremely important to show up to one or both of these meetings. We have chosen a competition to compete in, but we have to form a team or teams and start practicing. Competition is next month. We need to get our plans set in stone ASAP. The meetings will be from 3:05 to 3:45. If you would like to stay either day to help with the Electives events happening during the evening feel free to join me. We also need to start making plans for next year. The sooner we get started, the more prepared we will be. Hope to see you there.

Have you ever wondered what else does High School have to offer besides academic classes? Come to Brazosport High School’s Elective Extravaganza on January 25 and see for yourself. Parent meeting in auditorium at 5:30.p.m. Our Elective Courses, Clubs, Fine Arts, Athletics, Foreign Languages, and CTE classes will be showing ways that you can get involved, have fun, and earn an endorsement under the new graduation plans. Make a difference, Be part of a group, Create high school memories, and make your high school experience enjoyable and meaningful.

Students, if you love reading why not put it to competitive use? BISD will be hosting the 3rd annual Name That Book contest in April and we need five or six 9th grade students to participate for Bport. If interested, please drop by the library and speak to Mrs. Pierce.

Seniors, have you received a letter of Acceptance to College? If so, bring it into our Guidance Counselor's office! We want to recognize you!

SENIORS - Your class rankings are done and ready to be picked up! Please see Ms. Buckheit in the Guidance Office. Teachers please do not send students during class time. They can be picked up before school, at lunch, or after school.  

ACT Announcement:

Attention Juniors. Registration has begun for the ACT exam.

The ACT is a college entrance exam that most students will take to gain acceptance into a four- year college or university. This test contains 5 sections: English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing. Each section of the test is timed with a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes. The District will pay for all juniors. The fee for all other students is $58.50, which must be paid before the exam date.

Registration will end on January 23rd . You must register in order to take this exam, which will be administered on February 28th.

See Mrs. Murphy in her office #356 to register. Or scan the QR code you see posted around the school for information on how to register online. You can also ask your English teacher for help to register.

Seniors, we are placing a second order of the senior shiphand shirts. The cost is $16 for sizes small through extra large. Add one dollar per X after that. You can turn in your orders to Ms. Skinner in the front office or to Mrs. Johnston in room 504. This is the last order for the year.
