Brazosport UIL Academic Teams Head to Regionals

Hours of dedicated study paid off for Brazosport and Brazoswood high school students at the district UIL Academic meet recently. Both schools brought home individual and team awards and will represent their campus and BISD at the regional meet in April.

Brazosport High School took eight students to the district UIL Academic Meet in Wharton to compete against other Texas 4A schools. Brazosport competed in Math, Science, and Social Studies academic areas and came home with smiles and medals to show for their hard work. The UIL Math Team placed first in Calculator Applications and will  head to the Regional competition in Corpus Christi on April 8th.

Individual awards went to:
Randolph Fermo - 1st Place Chemistry
3rd Place Science
4th Place Calculator Applications
6th Place Number Sense

Sherydan Abonce 2nd Place Chemistry

Michael Meyers 5th Place Calculator Applications
6th Place Mathematics
