On April 4-6, Brazosport High School hosted and competed in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation. Participating bands ranged from intermediate through high school levels.
Director Dennis Boucher and the Brazosport Symphonic Band earned sweepstakes for the 4rd consecutive year. To earn sweepstakes, a band must receive a first division rating on the prepared concert pieces, on a sight reading exercise and on their performance at the fall Marching Contest.
Also, the Concert Band under the direction of Mr. Whitley earned straight ones in Sight Reading. What an outstanding accomplishment on a very hard challenge.
