Exporter Supporters of the Class of 2026,
As we continue to monitor the weather forecast for Friday evening’s graduation ceremony, we wanted to provide families with additional information about our bad-weather delay procedures and expectations.
At this time, Brazosport High School's graduation is still scheduled for Friday, May 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Hopper Field. BISD administrators will continue to monitor weather conditions closely throughout the day and evening.
If rain occurs but conditions remain safe to be outdoors, the ceremony will continue as scheduled. If weather conditions become unsafe, students will be moved to the John Magee Performance Center (auditorium) on our main campus for shelter. At the same time, parents and guests may seek shelter in the Flash Walker gymnasium until conditions improve. Updates will be communicated every 30 minutes via the BISD and Brazosport High School Facebook pages, as well as via SchoolMessenger email.
If weather conditions remain unsafe, a final decision regarding postponement will be made at approximately 9:30 p.m. In the event of postponement, Brazosport High School's graduation will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 23, at 1:00 p.m.
Due to the possibility of rain and limited parking/weather-related traffic concerns, we strongly encourage families to carpool whenever possible. To assist with parking and transportation, shuttle services will also be provided from designated locations. Please see the
linked shuttle map for pickup and parking information.
Students are permitted to bring one standard-sized umbrella measuring approximately 36–42 inches. Please do not send oversized golf umbrellas or canopies, as they may obstruct views and create safety concerns during the ceremony.
We understand that weather-related delays can be frustrating and inconvenient, especially for families traveling from out of town. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support as we work to provide the safest and best possible graduation experience for our seniors.
We look forward to celebrating the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2026.
