Brazosport administrators, faculty and staff are very excited at the start of the 2025-2026 school year!
Below are some of our campus wide expectations:
- We will strictly adhere to the Texas House Bill 1481 and BISD district adopted cell phone policy “AWAY for the Day” which is similar to our “Not seen, not heard, not taken” cell phone policy from previous years. The only adjustment for our Exporters is that the “AWAY for the Day” applies to all electronic telecommunication devices… cell phones, smart watches, Airpods, headphones, tablets, etc. and they should be powered off/silenced and placed in their backpack before entering the building and remain there for the duration of the instructional day. The instructional day ends at the 3:15 pm dismissal time (for Seniors with afternoon off periods the end of the instructional day would be when they exit the building at their scheduled off period time).
- ALL students must be in BISD Dress Code during the day. As a part of the BISD dress code all students must wear a school issued ID at all times. Students will be charged $5 to purchase a new ID and promptly provided with a replacement if they are not in compliance with this safety requirement upon each occurrence.
- The “No Tardy, Start On Time” initiative for students who are tardy within the academic wing.
- No pass periods: 1, 3, 5, & 7
- 10-10 Rule: Students are not allowed to leave class the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of class.
- Students are not allowed to leave class without a signed pass by their teacher.
- Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful
Students with off periods or college classes:
- Designated areas have been assigned for students for students with college courses and off periods.
- Students should leave campus or report to the library during these times.
- Students will be given a color coded sticker to be placed on their ID to be allowed to leave campus or entry into the library during these times.
