Brazosport High School Students Bring Home Five Medals in UIL Academic State Championship

Seven Brazosport High School student-artists represented BISD last week in the UIL Theatrical Design State Championship at the Round Rock Performing Arts Center in Austin, Texas. This UIL Academic event hosted 130 schools from 81 school districts, and Brazosport’s students made us “BISD Proud” earning five medals in two different categories (Group Design and Set Design). The Brazosport High School students who took home the fourth place medal in Group Design were: D’Arian Steamer (Costume Design), Ciara Long-Cozine (Set Design), Priscilla Garcia (Hair & Makeup Design), and Giovanni Martinez (Marketing Design); and Ciara Long-Cozine placed fifth in individual Set Design. We are so proud of our student-artists’ hard work and dedication “setting the standard” for excellence and achievement in these UIL Academic events, way to go Exporters!
