Brazosport Shipmates Dance Team Brings Home 1st and 2nd in Competition
Congratulations to the Brazosport Shipmates Dance Team on being awarded 1st Place in Team Hip Hop and 2nd Place in Team Pom at the Marching Auxiliaries (MA) Dance Competition at Shadow Creek High School in Pearland.
All dance teams from BISD, Brazosport, Brazoswood, Clute Intermediate and Lake Jackson Intermediate entertained their audience the night before the contest in the first BISD Dance Team Show Off where all the teams performed their competition dances in front of friends and family. It was a wonderful, hopefully annual event.
The following day, the Shipmates traveled to Pearland where they joined nearly 40 dance groups ranging from 5 year olds to seniors in High School. There are many different divisions based on style, age level, and size of the dance team.
