Congratulations to both the Boys and Girls Mile Relay teams for claiming the District 26-4A titles. The District Track meet this year was held at BISD’s Hopper Field and when the event concluded, Brazosport’s 4x400 teams had taken the top spot, qualifying them for the next step of competition, Area.
The Boys 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 Relay teams also won the district title. Team members include Michael Champ, Fabian Peoples, Ameer King and Draven Saldivar.
Several Exporters also placed first in individual events. On the boys team, Draven Saldivar won first in the long jump and Elliott Cundieff won both the individual 400 and 800 meter race. On the girls team, Aja Gore won both the shot put and discus throw. Lornell Fuller won the 400 meter run and Kayla Nieto won the 800 meter run.
The Area meet will be Thursday, April 19th at Columbus.
