In July, the Brazosport FFA officer team invited our junior members (3rd-8th grade) to have a picnic celebration with some of the fruit and vegetables that were ready to harvest. The kids learned about health benefits of fresh produce and were challenged to tint their ranch dip with a rainbow of fruit and veggie powder. The junior members painted rocks with the high schoolers to decorate the garden and planted heirloom pole bean varieties for fall harvest. What another great example of outstanding learning experiences in BISD!
